How we get our numbers
Two kinds of numbers live in Knowhere, and we always tell you which one you're looking at.
✓ Confirmed with the kitchen
Some items come straight from our favorite grocery store's corporate kitchen. They carry a ✓ and are exact. We add more confirmed items every week.
~ Calculated from ingredients
For everything else, we calculate calories and macros from each item's complete, published ingredient list and its serving size. These carry a ~. They're built to get you close — but because we work from the ingredient list rather than the exact weight of every component, treat them as a careful estimate, not a lab result.
≈ Rough estimates
A few things — build-your-own meals, daily specials, combo plates — don't have a fixed recipe. We estimate those from a typical version and label them clearly. Use them as a ballpark.
↗ Getting sharper
As the kitchen shares more data, more items earn the ✓ and the estimates around them tighten. Knowhere gets more accurate the longer it runs.
Nutrition varies with preparation, portion, and seasonal ingredients. Use these numbers as a guide — they aren't medical advice.
